While anyone is able to use the traffic-free cycle route guides, and all the other resources I have on here (seriously, go have a look under Learn, on the menu!) there’s extra value for WillCyclers (previously called WillCycle Supporters).
Navigation
I get it: you want to be able to enjoy cycling the traffic-free route, not stare at your phone the whole time, just to stay on track! WillCyclers can make use of the route navigation feature built into the map of every route guide. Not only will you see the map, but if you turn up the volume on your phone, you’ll have turn-by-turn voice guidance, leaving you free to relax and look at the landscape through which you’re cycling.
It gets better still! Should you go off route, the navigation will alert you, and guide you via a cycling-optimised route until you’re back on track. But even that isn’t all. You can even start cycling at a point away from the traffic-free path, and have the WillCycle map guide you to the start. You’ll have three routing options: safest (which can mean longer), trekking (a balanced option) or fastest, which will usually mean more on-road cycling.
Oh, and when cycling somewhere you’re unfamiliar with, and you’re looking for a café, a pub, or a bike shop, simply tick the relevant box at the top of the map, to see where the nearest one is.
That’s a LOT of value, and a complete bargain, for less than 7p per day, so go sign up right now. Put differently, it’s less than HALF a posh coffee per month!
You have to admit that’s a huge bargain!
